FAQS

CAN OTHER SPECIES TAKE PART IN THE COOPERATIVE CARE COURSE?

Absolutely, yes! This Course is designed for all species. We are happy to make adjustments to cater for each species needs. In time we will have Species-Specific Cooperative Care Tasks made available on our website.

HOW MANY LEVELS ARE THERE?

At the moment there are 4 individual levels: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert, however, additional levels are in the pipeline. Apart from which, we have other courses currently  under construction including those on Enrichment and Your Pets Mental Health.

DO I HAVE TO START AT THE NOVICE LEVEL?

Definitely, not! Participants are able to pick and choose what they would like to teach their pet. Pets without prior training are recommended to being in Novice level, whereas competition or working animals are welcome to start at Expert level. However, if you wish to be assessed for a title you will need to complete all 4 levels starting from Novice and proceeding onwards.

CAN SHELTERS, POUNDS AND RESCUES  TAKE PART?

Yes! We love working with industry professionals. Many animals completing our course are from a rescue background. Foster Carers may begin the Course with their foster pet with permission from their Agency. In these cases we offer RPL to the new family to continue the course with their new fur baby, free of charge.

CAN REGISTERED BREEDERS TAKE PART?

Sure can! Many families will choose to continue on with the program once they have their furry family member. Starting young is a great way to set your pups on the path for success!

WHY ARE YOU CHARGING A FEE FOR CERTIFICATION?

Our Course is completely FREE to take part in, however, if you wish to receive a Certificate of Completion and Ribbon, there is a small fee which covers the costs of our Assessors time.

HOW DO I BECOME A TRIPLE-C ASSESSOR?

Our assessors are the best of the best. They are qualified, experienced and credentialed in animal behaviour, and have achieved Expert level with at least one of their own pets before training with us and passing a stringent quality assurance test. All of our assessors utilise positive reinforcement methods only. .

I HAVE STARTED THE COURSE, BUT I AM STUCK. WHERE DO I GET SOME HELP?

We are currently working on a set of guidelines which will be available for purchase which offer a step-by-step breakdown of each task. We are also currently uploading videos of each task being taught and performed to our YouTube and Social Media channels.

We are also more than happy to assist with queries via our email address or Social Media inboxes.
